With Google’s new WebVitals tool – are you in the 75th percentile?
Hello, thanks for listening to SEO tips today.
So Google announced a new tool called web vitals, you’ll see it inside Google Search Console. There’s also now a Chrome browser plugin.
It provides a central set of quality signals, it actually combines their disparate products (Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, PageSpeed Insights, Search Console’s Speed Report) that provides reporting on all of the elements that are essential to a great online user experience. This tool in particular, pays a little bit more attention to when the first element loads that a user can interact with, and when the last element loads that a user can interact with, as well as any shifting that goes on as the user waits for elements on your website to load. You can read more about the tool at web.dev/vitals. Google also has announced that it’s going to be a ranking factor by next year 2021. So I would go ahead and check out Google’s web vitals tool.
And that’s your tip for today.
Thanks for listening. Come back tomorrow for another SEO tip.
