You now have more time to get ready for mobile first indexing

Today is going to be a quick tip. On Google on July 21st announced that they’re extending the mobile-first indexing deadline from September 2020 to March 2021.
As of March this year, Google said they had moved almost 70% of all sites to mobile first indexing and their plan was to move the remaining 30% by September but now sites have more time.
Most of the sites have been moved over are faster and larger, so if your site is slower and smaller or is on a separate mobile URL, that might be why you haven’t seen the move yet.
And if you still haven’t been moved over, the key to make sure that the transition does not impact your traffic is to ensure that the mobile version of your site matches your desktop version.
