Setting up audio and video for micro-answers in Google – Alexa Flash Briefing Skill (SEO Tips)
Hello, thanks for listening to SEO tips today.
So yesterday I gave you a tip about Fraggles and today I want to talk about the other types of content that Google can pull Fraggles from. In the other tip I talked about how formatting your text can allow Google to lift the answer from deep within a piece of HTML.
Google is also able to lift Fraggles from audio and video assets. For Google to be able to lift the exact answer from an audio or video file, you need a time-stamped transcript. Ideally, you’re thinking about Google’s ability to pull Fraggles when you write the script used in your audio or video so that you can strategically mention entities you want to rank for, and then that will become part of the transcript. You put the audio transcript on a landing page with a link to your audio or video asset.
That’s it. That’s how you set it up so that Google can lift Fraggles from your audio or video file.
Thanks for listening. Come back tomorrow for another SEO tip.
